Preview: Leeds United vs Stoke City

Whites back in Sky Bet Championship action.

ELLAND ROAD 10.10.24

Leeds United complete the Easter weekend double-header as they welcome Stoke City to Elland Road on Monday afternoon.

The Whites began the weekend with an impressive display at Oxford United, running out 2-1 winners at the Kassam Stadium.

Inside the first half, an incisive pass from defender Joe Rodon released full-back Jayden Bogle who crossed low for the onrushing Manor Solomon to score the only goal of the match and his second in as many games!

Before that important result in Oxfordshire, Daniel Farke’s side had picked up back-to-back victories starting with a 1-0 triumph at Middlesbrough, before claiming a 2-1 success at Elland Road over Preston North End.

Stoke, meanwhile, go into the clash on the back of an impressive 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday last time out, thanks to goals from Million Manhoef and Ben Wilmot.

That result, coupled with an away win at Cardiff City previously, has moved Mark Robins’ side seven points clear of the relegation zone with three matches remaining.

The two teams have already met once this campaign where, despite thick fog at the bet365 Stadium on Boxing Day, the Whites prevailed thanks to Joël Piroe’s brace in the Potteries.

Action from Elland Road gets underway at 3pm.
