Preview: Leeds United vs Plymouth Argyle

A look ahead to Saturday's match.

Leeds United are back at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, facing Plymouth Argyle in a final match for the two teams before the international break.

The Whites come into the game having beaten Leicester last time out in what was an impressive performance at the King Power Stadium.

Daniel Farke’s side travelled away from home and battled well throughout the 90 minutes against the high-flying league leaders, with Georginio Rutter netting a second-half winner.

Plymouth had an entertaining weekend of their own last time out, taking a point from a six-goal thriller on home turf against Middlesbrough.

That draw moved the Pilgrims onto 16 points from 15 matches, following their promotion from League One last season.

Steven Schumacher has seen his side adapt well to life in the second-tier of English football. They’ve won four and drawn four from their opening 15 games, building a five-point gap to the bottom three teams in 19th spot.

Leeds are currently third in the table. The Whites have won five out of their last six matches, and are unbeaten on home turf so far in the 2023/24 campaign.

Crysencio Summerville tops the scoring charts for Leeds with six, with the forward receiving two Player of the Month awards for October. For Plymouth, Morgan Whittaker has seven to his name, showing his ability after moving permanently to Devon over the summer.
