Leeds United take on Leicester City at Elland Road on Tuesday evening (8pm), in game number 33 of the Premier League season for each side.

Coming into the match, the two teams are separated by just one point in the table. Leeds are just ahead of the Foxes, with them in 16th and 17th place respectively.

Javi Gracia’s side are hoping to bounce back to winning ways after losing their last two home matches against Crystal Palace and Liverpool.

Under the newly-appointed Dean Smith as manager, Leicester ended a nine-game streak without a victory in their last game, coming from behind at the King Power Stadium to secure a 2-1 win over Wolves, moving them out of the relegation zone.

In the last six meetings between the two sides at Elland Road, both teams have scored in each of those games. The head to head records are similarly close throughout history, with Leeds having 48 wins and Tuesday’s visitors having won 46 times since a first meeting in 1920!

With the season fast approaching its conclusion, three points for either side in this one would give a huge boost in avoiding the bottom three places. With victory, the visitors would go ahead of the Whites.

The table is still tight, with movement for different teams each week in the bottom half. Leeds couldn’t move positions with a win on Tuesday, but the points would take them up to 32, moving four clear of the bottom three depending on results elsewhere.

A player to watch for the United defence is a well-known threat, Harvey Barnes. The winger has a strong record over recent years against Leeds and is also Leicester’s top-scorer this season, with 10. Rodrigo is still leading the way with 11 for Gracia’s side.
