Scott Gardner’s Under 18s side face Everton Under 18s at Thorp Arch on Saturday afternoon, in the U18 Premier League North season opener (12pm).
The Whites start the season against Paul Tait’s side who finished 5th last season, with Thomas Cannon taking the award for top goalscorer with 10 goals.
The visitors had an impressive campaign last season, finishing 5th in the league and reaching the Quarter Finals of the FA Youth cup, defeating league winners Manchester City and Chelsea. The Toffees eventually lost 2-1 against West Bromwich Albion.
The two teams previously met in February of 2021, a game which was hard-fought throughout and resulted in a well earned point for each side, following the 1-1 scoreline.
