A look ahead to our West Yorkshire derby.

Leeds United make the short trip along the M62 to face local rivals Huddersfield Town in the Sky Bet Championship, searching for a record-equalling tenth straight win in the league.

Daniel Farke’s side have been in imperious form since the turn of the year, conceding just two goals in that run of nine consecutive wins.

Last time out, a stunning second-half fightback against leaders Leicester City saw goals from Connor Roberts, Archie Gray and Patrick Bamford grab an important three points under the Elland Road lights, cutting the Foxes' lead to just six points at the top of the table.

Results elsewhere leave the Whites second in the Sky Bet Championship standings, ahead of third-placed Ipswich Town on goal difference and five points clear of Russell Martin's Southampton in fourth.

During the week, attentions turned to FA Cup duties as Leeds were narrowly beaten late on by Premier League side Chelsea.

An impressive performance in the capital, a brace from striker Mateo Joseph and a Player of the Match performance from 17-year-old Archie Gray saw United leave Stamford Bridge with plenty to be proud of.

For Huddersfield, there has been an upturn in fortunes recently. Caretaker boss Jon Worthington stepped in to guide the Terriers to important wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland, before the club appointed German coach Andre Breitenreiter.

The 50-year-old will be a familiar face to Leeds duo Willy Gnonto and Georginio Rutter, having both worked him with before at FC Zurich and TSG Hoffenheim, respectively.

In Breitenreiter's first match in charge of the Terriers, a Danny Ward brace proved to be enough as they edged past Watford at Vicarage Road.

Saturday's two sides have already met once this campaign, where a sensational first half showing at Elland Road saw Dan James and Crysencio Summerville grab two goals each on the way to a resounding 4-1 October victory.

Kick off from the John Smith’s Stadium is at 12.30pm.
