Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Division One North action this Sunday as they travel north to face Durham Cestria away from home.
After falling to a narrow defeat to Cheadle Town at the Bannister Prentice Stadium, the Whites roared back to winning ways with an emphatic 6-3 victory over Doncaster Rovers Belles last time out on the road.
Early goals from Darcie Greene and Drew Greene gave Simon Wood’s side a strong start in the Yorkshire Derby, before second-half doubles from Jess Rousseau and Amy Woodruff secured an important three points for United.
Leeds currently sit fourth in the standings and can move to within a point of third-placed Chorley should they win their game in hand.
Durham, meanwhile, find themselves in sixth, five points adrift of the Whites having played two matches more.
Most recently, Michael Third’s side slipped to a heavy defeat against local rivals Norton & Stockton Ancients, having been beaten away at Chorley in their previous fixture.
The two teams have already met once this season at the Bannister Prentice Stadium, where a late Rousseau brace fired the hosts to victory back in September.
Action from Maiden Castle gets underway at 2pm.
