Leeds United Women continue their Adobe Women’s FA Cup journey this weekend, travelling away from home on Sunday after in the Second Round.
The Whites face Darwen FC Ladies at the Multevo Anchor Ground in Lancashire, with the match getting underway at 1pm.
Both teams will be playing their third match of the competition this weekend, having gone through two previous rounds to reach this stage.
Simon Wood’s side have been impressive up to now in the cup, scoring 13 goals in their last two games.
A 7-1 win at home to Chester in the Third Round Qualifying was followed by a 6-2 success away at West Didsbury & Chorlton in the First Round Proper.
Sunday’s hosts have battled hard to reach this stage, and have also shown their own goalscoring ability.
A well-contested trip to Sunderland West End saw the Salmonesses come out on top 2-1, before another away tie at Leeds Modernians saw a ruthless Darwen come away 4-2 winners.
The tie will be settled on the day, there are no replays. Should the match finish level after 90 minutes, a 30 minute period of extra-time will be played, with a penalty shootout then following if required.
