Leeds United Under-21s return to National League Cup action on Tuesday evening, with an exciting quarter-final tie against Aldershot Town in store.
Scott Gardner’s side have enjoyed their time in the competition to date, with two victories and a penalty shoot-out success proving enough for the Whites to progress from Group C into the knockout rounds.
A seven-goal thriller kickstarted the campaign as Leeds beat Boston United 4-3 in Lincolnshire, before picking up another important win, this time on Tyneside, against Gateshead 2-1.
Spot-kicks were then needed as United edged past FC Halifax Town at The Shay. Despite a narrow defeat at Tamworth in the final group stage outing, the tally of eight points saw the Whites finish second in the standings.
United go into the clash in Hampshire in impressive form, unbeaten in five across all competitions, winning three in that time. Most recently, a last-gasp equaliser from James Debayo ensured spoils were shared against a strong Brighton U21s outfit in the Premier League 2.
Aldershot, meanwhile, won three of four their matches on route to topping the Group A standings, facing Brighton, Fulham, Southampton and Derby’s U21s teams.
Tommy Widdrington’s Shots have won four of their last five in all competitions as they look to put daylight between themselves and the Vanarama National League relegation places, most recently beating Gateshead 3-1.
Action from the EBB Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
