Leeds United Under-21s have a chance to book their spot in the Premier League Cup semi-finals as they welcome Chelsea Under-21s to the LNER Community Stadium.

Scott Gardner’s side go into the clash after beating AFC Bournemouth in dramatic fashion in the previous round, coming from a goal behind to progress after Sonny Perkins’ last-gasp injury time winner on the south coast.

The Blues provide familiar opposition for United, with the two sides having met in the group stages of the competition as well as in league action.

Chelsea narrowly got the upper hand on their previous visit to Yorkshire in the tournament, but a spirited performance in the capital saw the young Whites claim a well-deserved 3-3 draw at Kingsmeadow thanks to goals from Charlie Allen, Marley Wilson and Luca Thomas.

The two sides also met on Premier League 2 duties last month, with the Blues narrowly scraping past the Whites at Thorp Arch.

After topping Group D, Chelsea set up a Round of 16 tie with Norwich City, with Brazilian Deivid Washinton grabbing a late goal to hand the London outfit a 3-2 victory on home soil.

Mark Robinson's side sit seventh in the Premier League 2 standings, having picked up three wins in their last five including an emphatic 7-1 success away at Newcastle United.

Kick off in York is at 1pm.
