The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Portsmouth on Sunday have been announced, with Robert Jones set to take charge at Fratton Park.
The experienced official made his top-flight debut in 2019 and has gone on to take charge of 86 encounters in the Premier League, as well as featuring in UEFA competitions and on the international stage.
The Whites have an impressive record in matches overseen by Jones, winning nine of their 17 fixtures and drawing on five occasions.
Most recently, the Merseyside-based referee officiated United’s FA Cup Fourth Round replay at Home Park last campaign, which saw Daniel Farke’s side run out 4-1 winners over Plymouth Argyle.
Sunday will mark a first visit to Fratton Park for Jones, as Portsmouth’s other two matches he has been in the middle of – a draw against Wigan Athletic and defeat to Rotherham United – both came away from home.
