Leeds United Under-21s start their Premier League Cup campaign with a trip to The Valley to face Charlton Under-21s on Friday evening.
The group stage draw sees Scott Gardner’s side also face Birmingham City and Stockport County, alongside the opener against the Addicks in the capital.
The young Whites have started the season brightly and remain unbeaten, having drawn their first three matches, starting with a visit to Stoke City’s bet365 Stadium.
From there, Leeds were held by Aston Villa in the first home match of the season, before earning a hard-fought point again Crystal Palace with ten men.
Charlton, meanwhile, have started their Professional Development League South campaign strongly, winning their first four fixtures before drawing 1-1 with Crewe Alexandra at Princes Park last time out.
The competition proved to be an enjoyable one for Leeds last term, reaching the quarter-finals stage where they were narrowly beaten by London outfit Chelsea.
