Patrick Bamford spoke to the media after scoring late at Turf Moor, to get his side a point.
Burnley took the lead midway through the second half and were in front until the final few minutes, when Bamford was in the right place at the right time to turn home.
“I had been shooting all day and I thought, ‘keep plugging away, keep plugging away’,” the striker explained.
“So I put myself in the right slots. Then a little toe-poke from two-yards out… I’ll take it!
“Sometimes games go like that as a striker, so you’ve got to be patient and not get frustrated, even though it’s hard.
“Luckily, it paid off in the end today, but sometimes you can go a game with no chances and sometimes it ends up like that.”
The game was relatively even throughout, with both defences on top as they blocked both teams who were exchanging attacks.
“It is always tough coming here,” Bamford stated.
“You don’t want to be disrespectful but you know what you’re going to get when you play against Burnley.
“They do make it difficult and it’s a bit of a fight, and it was a fight all game.
“I think we definitely deserved a point, we created a lot of chances but I think we’ll be happy with a point to be fair.
“I think both teams had spells, so a point was justified for both teams.”
