Leeds United duo Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips have been named in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Bamford earns his first call up following a fantastic season in the Premier League, which saw the striker notch up 17 goals and 8 assists for the Whites.

After featuring in every league game during the 2020/21 campaign, Bamford has started all three games for Leeds this season, most recently coming off the bench to help Leeds defeat Crewe 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Bamford joins Kalvin Phillips in the England squad, after the Leeds United midfielder played a starring role in the Three Lions' route to the Euro 2020 Final.

Phillips has made 15 appearances for England since his debut against Denmark last September, with the Leeds-born midfielder getting an assist against Croatia and picking up the Man of the Match award in the same game.

Southgate named his 23-man squad on Thursday, ahead of next month's World Cup qualifiers against Hungary (Thursday 2nd September) and Poland (Wednesday 8th September).

England will also host Andorra at Wembley on Sunday 5th September, with all three fixtures being shown live on ITV.
