Leeds United midfielder Pablo Hernandez has been voted the PFA Bristol Street Motors Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for June/July.

The Spaniard had an influential period helping the Whites end the season with six straight wins, en route to Marcelo Bielsa's side being crowned Sky Bet Championship champions.

He scored a goal and assist against Stoke City at Elland Road as the Potters were defeated 5-0 at Elland Road.

This was then followed by a dramatic late winner at his former side Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

He was again on the score-sheet against Derby County in the penultimate game of the season, prior to assisting two more goals in our final win against Charlton Athletic, in what was a spectacular month for the Leeds playmaker.

Your votes saw Hernandez beat off competition from Said Benrahma (Brentford), Andre Ayew (Swansea City), Nathan Byrne (Wigan Athletic), Ethan Pinnock (Brentford) and Matheus Pereira (West Bromwich Albion).

It is the fourth PFA Player of the Month Award which has gone to a Leeds player this season, with Ben White (August) and Luke Ayling (December & February) have already been crowned.

Liz Cope, chief marketing officer, Bristol Street Motors said: “Supporting the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award is a privilege.

"The accolade highlights the high calibre of talent currently demonstrated by the players, while acknowledging achievements throughout the season."

Congratulations Pablo!
