Leeds United midfielder Pablo Hernandez spoke to the media following Sunday’s 3-1 victory against West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road.
The Whites promotion hero was given a tremendous send off as the fans returned for the first time in over a year, following the announcement earlier this week that he, along with Gaetano Berardi will leave the club at the end of the campaign.
An emotional Hernandez thanked supporters for their reception, admitting he will always love the club.
“It’s an amazing feeling which I can’t describe,” said Hernandez.
“All I can say is thank you to all the fans of Leeds and the club.
“This has been an amazing five years for me and I think this is the right time for me to say goodbye, but I will never forget my five years here.
“When I arrived at the club in the Championship I knew I could help this club get back to the Premier League and we achieved that last season and it was an amazing feeling.
“That moment for us was unbelievable for me, the club and everyone in the city, to return back after 16 years.
“I’m going to miss the fans in the future and I will keep this period in my heart for the rest of my life.”
