Noah Okafor was voted the Hisense Player of the Match by supporters following Leeds United’s impressive 2-1 victory over Man Utd at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old forward delivered a decisive performance, scoring both goals in a memorable away triumph, and earning 40% of the fan vote. He finished ahead of Ao Tanaka (25%), Gabriel Gudmundsson (11%) and Ethan Ampadu (6%).
Okafor’s brace not only secured all three points but also etched his name into club history. He became the first Leeds player to score twice against Man Utd since Roque Junior in October 2003, and just the second to net a double at Old Trafford after Joe Firth, who achieved the feat in November 1931.
Leading the line with energy and precision, the Swiss international played 74 minutes and made a significant impact across the pitch. He registered 33 touches and completed 16 accurate passes, while also carrying the ball nine times for a total distance of 144 metres.
In addition to his attacking contributions, Okafor showed his defensive commitment, making two clearances and winning a ground duel to help Leeds see out the victory.
It was a complete performance from the forward, combining clinical finishing with tireless work rate - qualities that did not go unnoticed by the Elland Road faithful, who backed him overwhelmingly for the Hisense accolade.
