Norwich City: Match officials appointed

Appointments made for Sunday’s fixture.

Darren England refs

The match officials for Leeds United’s Emirates FA Cup tie with Norwich City on Sunday have been announced, with Darren England set to take charge at Elland Road.

The fixture marks a return to West Yorkshire after the 40-year-old oversaw the Whites’ memorable 3-1 home victory over Chelsea in December.

United have picked up six victories from 15 encounters to involve England, including a 1-0 triumph over Sunday’s opposition back in 2017 which came courtesy of a winner from Pontus Jansson.

Norwich, meanwhile, have struggled for form in their 12 encounters officiated by the referee, winning just twice and falling to defeat on six occasions.

The Norfolk outfit are winless in their previous six games overseen by the official and last recorded victory with a 1-0 success over Swansea City in 2020, under then-boss Daniel Farke.

Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee Andrew Kitchen and Additional VAR John Brooks.
