Millwall: Match officials announced

The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Millwall on Wednesday have been announced, with Dean Whitestone set to take charge at Elland Road.

Since being in the middle of a first EFL encounter in 2005, the experienced official has featured in over 500 matches to date, 223 of which have come in the second tier.

In the 12 matches Whitestone has refereed involving the Whites, United have won four and drawn four.

Most recently, the Northamptonshire-based official oversaw Daniel Farke’s side’s 2-0 victory over Coventry City at the CBS Arena, with goals from Joël Piroe and Jayden Bogle.

Millwall are the team Whitestone has overseen most in his career, 34 times in total, with the Lions winning 14, drawing 10 and losing on 11 occasions.

Last time out, the London outfit edged past Portsmouth in January, with Mihailo Ivanovic's first-half goal proving the difference between the sides.
