Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship trip to Fulham.

The Whites head to Craven Cottage on the back of an 11 game unbeaten run in the division.

Leeds currently sit in second place, 12 points clear of Fulham in sixth place, but Bielsa had a lot of praise for Saturday’s opponents, including forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.

“Fulham are a similar team to us,” said Bielsa.

“They have values in possession, passing and shooting and they are one of the best teams in the Championship.

“For us this match is a great challenge.

“Mitrovic is a great centre forward and Patrick Bamford is also.

“They are goal scorers and they are very aggressive players and you have to take care of them when you play against them.

“We have to try and increase the point gap (in the table).

“We lost two points that we should have won in the last game and what we have is maximal ambition.”

Bielsa also gave an update on team news ahead of the fixture.

“Liam Cooper is back,” said Bielsa.

“Tyler Roberts is healthy and Jamie Shackleton also, they will both train next week.

“With Forshaw there is no different information than previously.”
