Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month Award for April and you can vote for him now at the bottom of the page.
The Argentinian has guided Leeds to mid-table safety in the club’s first season back in the Premier League in 16 years, whilst not compromising on style, after lifting the Sky Bet Championship last season.
On paper, April was arguably Leeds’ toughest month of the campaign, coming up against table toppers Manchester City, Manchester United in second place and last year’s Premier League champions Liverpool, along with Sheffield United.
Despite this, Bielsa led Leeds to an unbeaten month, starting with back-to-back victories over Sheffield United and Manchester City.
The latter was made even more special, by the fact the Whites had to play with 10 men for the whole of the second half, which culminated in Stuart Dallas’ injury time winner, handing Manchester City just a fourth Premier League defeat of the season.
This was then followed up by a comeback 1-1 draw with Liverpool, before Leeds held Manchester United to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road.
There are four contenders in the frame for the Manager of the Month Award for April, which can be seen below:
Sam Allardyce (West Bromwich Albion)
Marcelo Bielsa (Leeds United)
Steve Bruce (Newcastle United)
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Manchester United)
