Leeds United continued their impressive run of form with a 1-0 win over Oxford United away from home on Good Friday.
Attacker Manor Solomon scored the decisive goal on the evening at the Kassam Stadium, adding to his strike last time out in the win over Preston.
Reflecting on the victory at full-time, the forward was delighted with the spirit his teammates had shown to record another important result.
“We came here with a clear goal just to take the three points and we did it today,” Solomon told LUTV.
“I am so proud of the boys. We gave everything today. We fought until the end, and in the end of the game, I think we deserved the three points and we are super happy.
“I think we could have scored another goal in the first half, same as the last game at Elland Road. But that is what happened and we realised we had to fight until the end, and that is what we did.
“And as I said, I am really proud of the lads. We gave everything today and we are looking forward to Monday.
“We showed resilience until the end of the game. We fought as a team. Sometimes in this period of the year, of the season, when you have just a few more games to play, you need to sacrifice, you need to give everything.
“The first half was really good. We could have scored more. And second half, we just fought and, yeah, we deserved the three points. From tomorrow we will start to recover and we will start to prepare for Stoke.”
