Leeds United's match against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon is dedicated to the Premier League’s ongoing No Room For Racism campaign.

Earlier this week the Premier League announced a two-year update on its No Room For Racism Action plan, with all fixtures from 11th to 19th February (two match rounds) dedicated to supporting the campaign.

During this period, Leeds United along with the League and other clubs will be sending a clear message that discrimination will not be tolerated in football or wider society, whilst also demonstrating how diversity across all areas of the game only makes it stronger.

New initiatives have been introduced to embed quality and increase diversity throughout the game. This includes programmes to develop coaching and executive pathways, to ensure there are more opportunities for people from ethnically diverse backgrounds.

Combatting discriminatory abuse both at matches and online remains a priority for the League and its clubs, and there is continued proactive work with social media companies and authorities to address the issues around online abuse. This includes running online monitoring programmes, filtering tools, and helping to develop artificial intelligence systems to better detect and remove abusive comments.

Players will once again be showing their unity against all forms of racism during the two match rounds by taking the knee before kick-off, as they did on the opening match round of the season, during the previous No Room For Racism fixtures and at matches immediately following the FIFA World Cup. This is in line with the decision taken by all club captains before the start of the 2022/23 season.

Since launching in March 2019, No Room For Racism has brought together the League’s work against racial discrimination and the Action Plan is embedded across all Premier League activity. For further information please visit premierleague.com/NoRoomForRacism.

We are urging all supporters to please take action if you see or hear any racism. The club adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination, if you do witness anything offensive before, during, or after a match please report the incident via message to 07887514789 with as much relevant information as possible.
