Last season:
In what was a challenging season for Manchester United, the side, under boss Ruben Amorim after the club had parted ways with Erik ten Hag, finished 15th in the final standings. They did enjoy a run to the Europa League Final however they missed out on silverware after losing to Tottenham in Bilbao.
One to watch:
Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes was undoubtedly a shining light in a difficult campaign for Manchester United. Scoring eight goals and recording 11 assists in 36 league appearances, the captain then went on to win the UEFA Nations League with his national team last weekend.
