Leeds United star Luke Ayling met with Lennon from Beeston Primary School recently to support the youngster’s dreams of becoming a sports journalist.
Lennon has followed every game for his favourite club during the 2020/21 Premier League season, writing match reports and producing his own content around the players and head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
The club has developed a close relationship with the local school that is located in the shadows of Elland Road, and throughout the season the club’s official charity have worked closely with both teachers and students. Through this work the club were able to learn about the hard work being carried out by Lennon and how much it had helped him through what has been an incredibly difficult year for him and his family.
Leeds United previously published one of the detailed match reports produced by Lennon following our 0-0 draw against Chelsea and he has also taken part in virtual calls with members of staff in the Media and Communications department, giving him the chance to ask questions and gain advice to help him in his development.
To reward him for all of his hard work Lennon was then given the opportunity to meet with one of his heroes in the form of Leeds United star Luke Ayling. The defender spent time being interviewed by the youngster during a Zoom call following a grueling training session at Thorp Arch, allowing Lennon to learn more about him and life at Leeds United as a footballer.
