Leeds United limited the reigning Premier League champions to very little as they secured a valuable point on the road against Liverpool.
The Whites are now unbeaten in six top-flight encounters, something goalkeeper Lucas Perri believes is a reward for the squad’s efforts.
“It was a very important result for us,” the Brazilian said after keeping a clean sheet at Anfield. “It is very important to start the year with a point.
“Our team worked very well defensively. Our midfielders have a lot of merit in all the defensive work we have done, a lot of merit in the clean sheet we have achieved today.
“It is an important thing for us as a team and I am very happy with the performance we had today. I believe that the main factor is the resilience that we showed.
“Of course, during a very long season, we will have difficult and good moments. We are living in a very good moment.
“Now we have to keep focused, keep working hard, looking for good results and achieving our goals at the end of the season.”
