Jack Jenkins made the perfect start to his time at Salford last week, as the midfielder scored the decisive goal in their 2-1 win over Liverpool U21s.

Jenkins played the full 90 minutes of the Papa John's Trophy, being named Salford's Player of the Match and saying after the game, "I'm delighted. I wanted a chance to show what I can do, I want to play as many games as possible."

Jenkins was an unused substitute on the weekend for Salford's 2-2 draw with Crawley, and will be hoping to impress ahead of their clash with Rochdale on Saturday.

Charlie Cresswell scored his third goal of the season on Saturday, as Millwall defeated Cardiff 2-0 at The Den.

Coming off the bench in the 48th minute for Shaun Hutchinson, Cresswell headed in Scott Malone's corner less than fifteen minutes later, before providing the assist for Benik Afobe's last minute strike.

Cresswell has made seven appearances for the Championship side, with the defender's three goals helping them to 14th in the league table. Millwall travel to the Stadium of Light next, where they'll take on Tony Mowbray's Sunderland on Saturday.

Lewis Bate started and played 73 minutes of Oxford's 2-1 win over Burton Albion, the final game of former Leeds United striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's tenure in charge of the Brewers.

Bate has featured 7 times for the U's across league and cup competitions, as they sit 11th in League One, with a trip to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday awaiting.

Ian Poveda made his first start for Blackpool on Saturday, as they ran out 1-0 winners against Huddersfield.

Having made his debut on Wednesday as a late substitute against Blackburn, the winger impressed in his latest outing, with his shot hitting the post before Theo Corbeanu slotted home the rebound.

With local media praising his movement throughout, Poveda will be hoping to help Blackpool build on their 11th place in the Championship, as they take on Middlesbrough at Bloomfield Road next.

Jamie Shackleton played the full 90 minutes of Millwall's 2-0 win against Cardiff on Saturday. The midfielder has been ever present for the Lions this season, playing in all eight league games, racking up 598 minutes.

Tyler Roberts made a second half appearance in QPR's 1-0 defeat to Swansea on Saturday. The forward who has featured six times this season, scoring in last month's EFL Cup defeat to Charlton, will be hoping to build up his fitness further this weekend, as QPR host Huddersfield at Loftus Road.

Helder Costa played a full 90 minutes for Al-Ittihad on the weekend, as they were held to a 0-0 draw with Ettifaq. The winger has featured in the first two games of the Saudi Pro League, which sees Al-Ittihad sit in sixth place, after they won their first game against Al-Adalah 3-0.

Dan James was a second half substitute for Fulham on Saturday, as he replaced Bobby Reid in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham. It's another London derby for The Cottagers on Saturday, as they host Chelsea at home.

Stuart McKinstry made his league debut in Motherwell's 0-0 draw with Dundee United on Saturday, replacing Joseph Efford in the 73rd minute at Fir Park.

Having signed for the Well last month, the appearance was McKinstry's second, after playing 18 minutes of their 4-0 cup win against Inverness last week.

Ross County await Motherwell in the SPL on Saturday, with McKinstry hoping to get more game time.
