Leeds United skipper Liam Cooper spoke to LUTV ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

The Scotland international is hoping to lead Leeds to a fourth win of the campaign at Selhurst Park.

Cooper gave his assessment on what the step up to the top-flight has been like so far and also gave his view on the Eagles.

“With the quality and the teams we are coming up against, you can’t switch off for a second and you’ve got to be thinking about your job at all times during games,” said Cooper.

“The boys have taken well to it, though, and we’ve gained confidence from some good results and we’ve got to keep that confidence there.

“We’ve got to play with no fear, play with a freedom and put our stamp on the games and more times than not, we have done that.

“Hopefully the Leicester result is just a blip and we can go and get a positive result against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

“They have a good manager, Roy Hodgson has been around the Premier League for a very long time, he’s very experienced and knows the league inside out.

“He has some unbelievable players at his disposal, so we know how tough it is going to be and we have to stand up to that challenge.

“If we do that, in more areas of the pitch than they do, then we have every chance of winning the game.

“We have to have every player at 100 per cent and that will be the message.”
