Leeds United Women have confirmed the signing of central midfielder, Kanisha-Mae Underdown.
The 24-year-old has extensive experience and can operate both defensively and offensively within the central areas.
A former Welsh Premier League star, Kanisha joins the club from Cardiff City, with whom she had been with since 2011 having progressed through their development programme.
A technically strong and gifted midfield player, Underdown can dictate the tempo of a match with her wide-ranging passing ability.
Underdown becomes Dan O’Hearne’s fourth summer signing for the Leeds United Women’s team as they edge closer to their season beginning.
Discussing his latest arrival, O’Hearne said: “Kanisha is moving up from Wales to come and play for us which shows the dedication and commitment she has to being here.
“We see her playing in more of a holding role in our midfield, as she is strong in the tackle and likes to build the play up, she is a very good link player.
“I think fans will see that Kanisha is strong in her play, and comfortable on the ball. We’re really pleased to bring her to the club.”
