The Leeds United Supporters' Trust have recently been involved in the successful completion of the restoration and reimagining of the iconic Leeds United mural located on the side of the Yorkshire Dental Suite based in Guiseley, reinforcing the organisations commitment to investing in the local community.
Originally created in 2021 by local artist Flarris, the mural has long stood as a celebrated landmark on the former Yorkshire Rose Pub, now home to Yorkshire Dental Suite’s Guiseley practice, and a tribute to Leeds United.
Over the past couple of weeks, the project has undergone a full transformation, as the wall was first structurally repaired and re-rendered to ensure safety and longevity, before being repainted.
Working in close partnership with the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust, who helped guide the project to ensure it truly reflected the wishes of the fanbase, Flarris returned to reimagine and complete the artwork. Featuring iconic Leeds United figures including current manager Daniel Farke alongside Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson and Marcelo Bielsa - the collaboration has created a refreshed and modern tribute to the club’s legacy that resonates deeply with the community.
The updated mural has already been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the Leeds United community, with local supporters welcoming its return as a renewed landmark in the heart of Guiseley.
Clair Hufton, Board Member of the Leeds United Supporters' Trust commented: “Leeds United Supporters Trust is absolutely delighted to see the restoration of this much-loved mural in Guiseley. Since its unveiling in 2021, it has stood as a powerful symbol of pride and passion for our club and community.
"We commend the Yorkshire Dental Suite team for working with us, and their commitment to preserving both the safety of the site and the spirit of the artwork. The return of artist Phil Harris to recreate the mural — and the addition of Daniel Farke — is an exciting moment for supporters, ensuring this tribute continues to evolve and inspire fans for years to come.”
Dr Hassan Dalghous and Dr Hussein Dalghous, co-founders of Yorkshire Dental Suite, added: “This mural has always meant so much to the local community and Leeds United supporters, and seeing it brought back to life in this way has been incredibly special. It’s more than artwork, it’s part of the identity of the area. We’re proud to have invested in its restoration and reimagining so it can continue to be enjoyed safely for years to come.”
With the mural now complete, it stands once again as a vibrant symbol of football heritage, community pride, and local collaboration in Guiseley.
