Leeds United Sports College have launched a football and education programme in partnership with Alvechurch FC.
Alvechurch FC are the latest organisation to partner with the education arm of Leeds United as part of the Elite Player Development Scholarship they offer which is open to youngsters aged 16 to 18.
Students interested in taking on the course will study a Level 3 BTEC in Sport which will cover the core elements of performance and excellence and will be delivered by specialist Leeds United tutors at Alvechurch FC.
The course will suit those who are wanting to enter employment in the sports industry as either a sports coach, physio, sports scientist or for those wishing to progress to higher education to study a sport-related degree such as coaching, sports therapy or sports science.
The coaching and games programme will be managed by Alvechurch FC with opportunities for player pathways into semi-professional football teams or international scholarships.

Staff from Leeds United Sports College will be presenting to students and parents at an Open Evening at Lye Meadow on Tuesday 16th July 2019. The presentation will include details of the qualification framework, the coaching curriculum and the intended progression routes into higher education.
