Students from the Leeds United Foundation’s Premier League Inspires programme were recently chosen as winners of the King’s Trust Enterprise Challenge!
Hosted during April, the event was open to youngsters across the city and region who had the opportunity to propose a business plan to a panel of judges which included former Whites’ striker Brian Deane.
Students representing Bishop Young Academy were proud to pitch a healthy eating café for their school called ‘Snack Shack’, aimed at proving students with nutritional food options at affordable prices.
Tasked with designing a brand that supported a social project, those from the school’s idea was chosen as the most impactful by the judges, who handed over £500 to make their business proposal a reality.
The event formed part of the Premier League Inspires programme which the club’s official charity, the Leeds United Foundation, help deliver weekly to 11-to-18-year-olds to help them reach their potential moving through the education system and into adulthood.
