The Leeds United Foundation are pleased to announce the launch of their partnership with Leeds Parcel Company, who have been working alongside the club and charity for a number of seasons.
Robin Koch was on hand recently to pay a visit to the Leeds Parcel Company headquarters, based not far from Elland Road, to meet with the staff and take a look at how the company works, whilst learning about how the local organisation has grown since it first opened its doors and how closely it has worked and supported the club over the last few years.
The Leeds Parcel Company have previously participated in our fundraising Golf Day events, with discussions recently progressing to the offer of advertising across three of their vehicles which will help to generate awareness of the Leeds United Foundation and the work the charity does to support health, wellbeing, education and sports participation for all.
Andy Wilby, founder of Leeds Parcel Company, said: “Being a Leeds based family company, the director and the staff have all been lifelong supporters of Leeds United. Therefore, when we heard about the work of the Leeds United Foundation from our friends Helen and Andy Howarth, we decided that we would be very interested in offering our support to the charity.
“Leeds Parcel Company have always used the Leeds United colours – blue, white and yellow – for our business, you’ll be able to see it on our logo and on our numerous vehicles large and small, which are seen around the area and nationally. As we were in the process of updating the vehicle livery, it seemed like an ideal opportunity to incorporate some advertising for the Leeds United Foundation on our vehicles too!
“We were all delighted that Robin Koch was able to visit us at our Leeds depot just off Elland Road, to help promote the Foundation livery. He was very friendly and met and spoke to most of our staff and seemed genuinely impressed by the work that we do and how many family members are involved in the company. “
John Mallalieu, the CEO of the Leeds United Foundation, added: “It is incredibly generous and supportive of Andy and his team to support the Leeds United Foundation in this way. One of the challenges we face is gaining awareness of what we do and supporting us to deliver more for the communities in our city.
“The opportunity brought to us by Leeds Parcel Company will really help to raise our profile and, we hope, funds whilst exemplifying the Leeds based people first values of both organisations. We are hugely grateful for the opportunity to work with Andy and his colleagues in this way.”
