The Leeds United Academy are continuing their support for Martin House Children's Hospice with staff members taking on a special fundraising challenge for the local charity.
The Academy have been involved with the children's hospice, based in Boston Spa, for a number of years, with the Under-18s squad paying an annual visit to Martin House every Christmas to meet the families who stay there and the incredible staff and volunteers that work tirelessly to support those able to use the facility. The young players are always keen to learn more about the support they offer children, young people and their loved ones.
To show further support for the work they do, the staff are now getting involved in a Dragon Boat Race at Roundhay Park on Sunday 25th June, with race times at 11:10, 13:30 and 16:00 and the final taking place at 16:15 and they are hoping to raise as many funds as possible that will be donated directly to Martin House. To date over £1,000 has been raised.
Martin House Children's Hospice rely solely on charitable donations and fundraising, to ensure they can continue supporting young children and their families, so all your support is greatly appreciated.
