The Leeds United Academy have raised nearly £3,000 for Martin House Children's Hospice.

Last Sunday, staff from Thorp Arch took part in the Martin House Dragon Boat Race, to raise money for the incredible work the hospice does for families across Yorkshire.

Martin House provides free care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses, relying almost entirely on fundraising and donations.

Held at Roundhay Park, the Leeds United Academy finished fourth overall in the Dragon Boat Race, after a series of heats, whilst also reached the third round in a separate tug-of-war event.

The charity is one that is close to the hearts of everybody at Thorp Arch, with the academy team and players paying regular visits to Martin House and spending time with the families and staff.
