Leeds United were delighted to invite Leeds Children’s Charity to attend our annual team photoshoot earlier this week along with some local youngsters associated with the charity.

The club announced Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm as our official charity partner recently, and throughout the duration of the season we will be working collaboratively to promote the incredible work being done at Lineham Farm and to ensure we can offer as many memorable and unforgettable experiences for some of the most disadvantaged children across the city.

During the visit to Thorp Arch, not only did the kids, their teachers, and representatives from the charity join the full squad for their 2023/24 photo but they also had the chance to have a kickabout with some of the players, get some signatures and have a tour of some of the facilities at the training ground.

Jenny Jones, the Head of Fundraising at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm, spoke about their special day and said: “It’s been absolutely amazing today, and it’s just been incredible for the children to be a part of. Seeing the smiles on their faces and watching them walking out of the cars and through the reception, they were so giddy, and they couldn’t believe they were here. There were loads of waves and smiles with the players as they walked out and I think the children will just remember this experience for the rest of their lives, such a great opportunity and definitely one for the memory books.

“The children that the charity work with and supports are those with challenging backgrounds of disadvantage. It's fantastic to be able to give young people opportunities they wouldn't otherwise get in their everyday lives and to provide a bit of magic, spark and laughter is just really special for us.”

You can take a look at what they got up to during their visit, here.
