Kalvin Phillips chatted with the media after his side scored a stoppage time winner at home to Crystal Palace.

The Whites won courtesy of a late Raphinha penalty, which saw Elland Road erupt, celebrating a hard-earned three points.

Speaking after the match, Phillips was quick to praise his teammate and match-winner, Raphinha whilst discussing the game overall.

He said: “You can see Rapha is a very, very good player. He just oozes class and I didn’t expect anything else than him scoring the goal.

“It’s a massive relief, but all in all we did deserve the win.

“We created some good chances in the first half and I thought that chance was going to come knocking sooner rather than later.

“I think we got a bit of luck in the final minutes with the handball, so we’re very happy!

“The way we are playing, we’re getting better and better every week. We started struggling this season, so we’re just happy to get the three points.

“It’s very important to build momentum now. It’s a massive win for us, we’re very happy in there, so we need to go on a little run of games now.

“We know we’ve got some very tough fixtures around Christmas so we just have to knuckle down and keep working hard.”
