Gareth Southgate whittled down his provisional squad on Tuesday afternoon, with Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips securing his place in the 26-man party for the European Championships.
Phillips earned his first England cap ahead of the start of the Premier League season, making his debut in the 0-0 draw with Denmark and has since gone on to earn a further six caps for the Three Lions.
The midfielder has had a fine season for Leeds, making 30 appearances in all competitions and helping the Whites finish ninth in the club’s first season back in the top-flight in 16 years.
Phillips also managed to bag his first Premier League goal in the final game of the season, scoring a fantastic free-kick in the 3-1 win over West Brom.
