Kalvin Phillips played an instrumental role for Leeds United as they secured a deserved point at home against Manchester United.

Both teams had spells within the game, but overall Phillips believed that the result was fair, when he reflected on the performance after the match.

He said: “I think it was fair, there were a couple of chances either end.

“The first half, Manchester United had a few chances all from set-pieces so we kind of kept them quiet at that. All in all it was a fair result.

“That’s what we’re about. As a team and as a club, we love to dig in, especially when teams come here.

“It was a good game, I really enjoyed it having a battle with the midfielders and everyone else on the park, so really enjoyed it.

“My task was Bruno so I did my best to keep him quiet all game and luckily he didn’t pop up with a goal, so my job was alright!”

Next weekend, the Whites will join a national campaign in boycotting all social media and Phillips gave his thoughts prior to it taking place.

“I think there has been too many cases as of late, just so much online abuse,” Phillips explained.

“It isn’t needed, it’s not part of the game, it’s never been part of the game so I think if this campaign can help it, we’re all for it.”
