Leeds United forward Joel Piroe spoke exclusively to LUTV following Wednesday’s victory over Hannover 96.
Piroe was amongst the goals for the Whites, alongside Ilia Gruev and Mateo Joseph, with the latter bagging a brace.
The Dutchman was pleased with the performance as preparations build to the opening day of the league campaign against Portsmouth.
“We started really aggressively and really well and they had problems with us, which mounted in a couple of chances” said Piroe.
“They tried to make it harder for us by changing their formation, but I think we managed it well.
“After two fairly quick goals, we carried on in the same manner in the second half as well, with two more good goals.
“Of course, I’m happy I’ve been involved in goals and in the build up leading to goals, but we all need to be a bit more sharp and then I think we can score even more goals and have even more success.
“Playing games is what we all want and everyone can’t wait to get back in front of the fans again.
“It’s great to play a game, but to play in front of the fans at Elland Road is what we all want at the end of the day.”
