Leeds United can confirm Joël Piroe has joined Sky Bet Championship side West Ham United on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

The Surinamese striker joined the Whites from Swansea City in August 2023 after scoring 19 goals the season prior.

The now 27-year-old made his debut against Ipswich Town in the second tier two days after signing and netted his first goal for Daniel Farke’s side in the clash. He then went on to play on 53 occasions and scored 16 in all competitions that season.

The following campaign, Piroe made 48 appearances and netted 19 times as the Whites were crowned champions and made a return to the Premier League, collecting the Golden Boot for his goal tally.

Piroe now joins a West Ham side looking to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt, following relegation last season.
