Leeds United Women are pleased to confirm the signing of exciting forward Jess Rousseau, who joins the club from Lincoln City Women.

The 19-year-old has been in fine form during her time at Lincoln and will now link up with her new squad immediately as they embark on a busy second half of the season.

From 14 appearances with the Imps, Rousseau scored an impressive 12 goals which has been a key part of why the side are 2nd in the Division One Midlands table.

The Whites are currently mid-table in Division One North but have a number of games in hand on opponents around them, which could see them move back up the standings if they win those matches.

Rick Passmoor wanted to bring his latest signing to the club for some time, and he was pleased to secure her signature.

He said: “For several weeks we have been looking to strengthen the forward line.

“We’ve been looking around at which players meet our profile who have that hunger, along with desire, and Jess fitted that profile perfectly.

“She’s the leading scorer at Lincoln this year and was also top-scorer last season, as well as being their Player of the Season, so it’s a really strong addition to the side.

“Jess will add goals as well as pace to our forward areas, which is really important in this division. She also has a real desire to learn and improve, so she ticked a lot of boxes.

“It’s competitive and challenging in this team to get a shirt and Jess is relishing that challenge, so we’re really pleased to welcome her to Leeds United.”
