Leeds United came away from the American Express Stadium with a deserved point, as goals either side of the break saw the Whites continue their unbeaten start to the new term.

Jayden Bogle’s close range strike put Daniel Farke’s team ahead, with the full-back showing his alertness to fire home an Ao Tanaka cross after sustained pressure from the visitors.

The second half saw the Seagulls hit back through Luka Vuskovic who powered home a header from set play towards the end.

Speaking after the match, Bogle discussed the opener and was asked on whether he thought he may have strayed offside, saying: “I am not going to lie, I wasn’t sure!

“You can see I had a little look back to check! It was a good first half. We were brave on the ball and against the ball we were good as well.

“So, yeah, I was impressed and we had a few more chances to go for a bigger lead but at the end of the game I think the point was fair.”

The Whites have now taken five points from their first three Premier League fixtures, following up the opening day victory over Nottingham Forest with a stalemate at home to Brentford and the draw with the Seagulls.

Discussing the opening few matches, the full-back added: “I think it’s been a very good start to the season so it is just about taking it game by game from now until the next one.”
