Looking ahead to Saturday’s trip to face Chelsea away from home in the Premier League, Javi Gracia has been speaking to the media.
The head coach is looking forward to the challenge that faces his side at Stamford Bridge this weekend and has challenged them to be ready.
Gracia was asked whether his team can go to Chelsea with confidence after the win over Southampton last weekend and for his thoughts on the opposition.
He said: “The confidence we have is in the work we are doing, not about the rivals.
“In this case as I said before, I respect a lot the team and what we expect is a very very demanding game, a tough game, we have to be ready for that.
“I think it’s important to start very aggressive, to continue very aggressive, and finish more aggressive.
“To go to Stamford Bridge is always very very tough, and I have that experience and I know how demanding will be the game.
“This moment when a necessity they have as well in terms of points, then we have to be very, very focused and prepare for a demanding game.”
One change the head coach wants to see from his side this weekend is taking opportunities in front of goal, after creating plenty of chances in Tuesday night’s loss to Fulham.
“We try to know the training sessions, try to the players have the information they need to compete better," Gracia explained.
"All the exercises are prepared with one objective, try to feel what works in the next game they are going to live.
“Anticipate them in different situations, that they can feel more comfortable in the next game.
“That’s the objective, to be well prepared with the information they need to give their best in the next game.”
