Leeds United can confirm Academy forward Jacob Render has joined Enterprise National League North side Darlington on a short-term youth loan.

The versatile attacker has made seven appearances for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s side so far this season, notably netting an emphatic strike against West Bromwich Albion Under-21s in the Premier League 2.

Senior experience has come against Boreham Wood and Solihull Moors in the National League Cup and the 18-year-old now heads to the North East in search of additional first-team football.

With the deal completed in time, Render is eligible to make his debut for the Quakers in their Emirates FA Cup tie at Redcar Town this afternoon.
