Leeds United are delighted to announce Jack Harrison has signed a new contract with the club.
The 26-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a fresh five-year deal, running until the summer of 2028.
Harrison originally joined the Whites from Manchester City ahead of the 2018/19 campaign on loan and he went on to have two further spells at Elland Road, before the deal was made permanent in 2021.
Helping Leeds win the Sky Bet Championship in the 2019/20 season, he featured in every match as the Whites were crowned second tier champions for the fourth time in the club’s history.
Harrison has gone on to be an influential player in the top-flight over the past two-and-a-half seasons and scored the club’s first goal back in the Premier League in 2020.
During his time in West Yorkshire, Harrison has made 197 appearances for the Whites in all competitions, netting 33 goals.
This season, he has featured 31 times, scored five goals and provided nine assists, with his latest strike coming in last Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.
Speaking about his new contract, Leeds United director of football Victor Orta said: “Jack is a crucial part of our squad and our plans going forwards and I’m really happy he has agreed to commit his long-term future to the club.
“He is one of the most professional players I have come across in my career, he has an unbelievable attitude and only wants to continue improving and I know we will see him at his peak over the duration of the next five years.”
He joins fellow first team stars Pascal Struijk and Luke Ayling who have also committed their futures to the club in recent months.
