"\u003Cp\u003EJack Harrison met with children at South Parade Primary School recently to take part in an online session with the Leeds United Foundation.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Leeds United winger joined the zoom call from Thorp Arch Training Ground, meeting with two classes at the local school to learn more about an upcoming art project they are taking part in with the club\u2019s official charity.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EFollowing the various lockdowns due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many of the young pupils have struggled with their mental health and especially struggled with asking for help and expressing their emotions. To help support the students, teachers from the school and coaches from the Foundation created a special art project for the kids to participate in, allowing them the space to be creative and express themselves in a fun and positive way.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring the call, the 24-year-old footballer spent time chatting with the two classes about street art and graffiti, discussing the work done by our very own Mateusz Klich outside Elland Road and what Jack would choose to have on his very own mural, whilst also discussing the impact of being stressed and the best ways to deal with difficult and challenging times.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EJack Harrison spoke to LUTV following the online session and said: \u201CI\u2019ve done a few of these calls over the season, and although it\u2019s not the same as interacting in person it has been brilliant to still spend time engaging with these kids and hopefully we\u2019ve been able to help them through what has been a difficult time for everyone.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u201CAll of the students were really enthusiastic and there were plenty of Leeds United supporters which is great for us to see, I hope they all enjoyed it as much as I did, and I wish them all the best of luck with their new art project.\u201D\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Leeds United Foundation deliver the Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) programme in schools across Leeds and further afield every day, working closely with students and their teachers to improve levels of engagement in study and important other important topics, through the power of sport.
