Jack Harrison played a crucial part as Leeds United beat Crystal Palace under the floodlights at Elland Road.

The winger scored his sixth goal of the season, finding the back of the net after just three minutes as he set the Whites on their way to a 2-0 victory.

“After the last result we had here, we wanted to come back and redeem ourselves,” Harrison explained after the match.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game after the last one, so we prepared all week and came out strong.

“Obviously having a bit of fortune on the first goal helped us out a lot. It helped us to play our style of football, keeping possession, which was good for us.

“It was a great ball in from Stuart Dallas into the little gap, I tried to find a shot and fortunately for us it went in the net!”

The three points against the Eagles moved Marcelo Bielsa’s side into the top 10 in the Premier League table. Harrison was asked just how far he believes this side can go.

He said: “As a team we’re very ambitious.

“We want to push ourselves and keep breaking limits, so that’s what we’re going to do.

“I think it isn’t just a credit to the players, but to the club, to Marcelo and his coaching staff in having a drastic change at the club and making incredible development for the players here.

“It’s been great for all of us and we’re showing it on the pitch.”
