International: September 2019 call-ups

Whites stars set to feature on the international stage.

A number of Leeds United players have been selected for international duty, with games set to take place over the coming days...

Stuart Dallas has linked up with Northern Ireland.  The Green and White Army play Luxembourg in a friendly on Thursday 5th September (7:45pm BST), ahead of a huge game in European Championship Qualifying Group C against Germany on Monday 9th September (7:45pm BST).  Both games are at Windsor Park, with Northern Ireland currently sitting at the top of the group, three points ahead of Germany, having played a game more.

Whites skipper Liam Cooper has been called up to the Scotland squad and could make his international debut.  Steve Clarke’s side have two European Championship qualifiers in Group I at Hampden Park.  Scotland face Russia on Friday 6th September (7:45pm BST) and Belgium on Monday 9th September (7:45pm BST).  Scotland currently sit in fourth place in the six team group, having won two and lost two of their first four fixtures.

Ezgjan Alioski has joined North Macedonia for their two fixtures in European Championship Qualifying Group G.  North Macedonia have two away fixtures, taking on Israel on Thursday 5th September (7:45pm BST) at Turner Stadium and Latvia on Monday 9th September (7:45pm BST) at Daugava Stadium.  Ahead of the fixtures, North Macedonia sit in fifth place of their six team group and are looking to make ground on the leading pack.

Sticking with Group G, midfielder Mateusz Klich is set to be in action once again with Poland who currently top the table.  They face two qualifying matches- an away trip to Slovenia on Friday 6th September (7:45pm BST) at SRC Stozice and a home clash with Austria on Monday 9th September (7:45pm BST) at the National Stadium, Warsaw.    Ahead of the fixtures, Poland lead the group by five points.

Leeds United loan man Eddie Nketiah has linked up with England’s Under-21s.  Aidy Boothroyd’s side have an away trip in Turkey on Friday 6th September (6:45pm BST) at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadi and a home match with Kosovo on Monday 9th September (7:45pm BST) at the KCOM Stadium.

Alfie McCalmont has joined Northern Ireland’s Under-21s.  First up is a home match with Malta on Friday 6th September (7:30pm BST) at The Ballymena Showgrounds, ahead of an away trip to Finland on Tuesday 10th September (5:00pm BST) at Raatti Stadium.

Mateusz Bogusz been called up by Poland’s Under-21s.  They face an away trip to Latvia on Friday 6th September (3:00pm BST) at Slokas Stadions, before a home game with Estonia on Tuesday 10th September (5:00pm BST) at Stadion Miejski Bialystok.

Bulgaria have selected forward Kun Temenuzhkov for their Under-21s.  They face an away trip to Estonia on Thursday 5th September (3:30pm BST) at Kadrioru Stadium and a home game against Russia on Tuesday 10th September (6:30pm BST) at Lovech Stadium.

Niall Huggins has been named in Wales’ Under-21s side.  They have two home games against Belgium on Friday 6th September (5:00pm BST) and Germany on Tuesday 10th September (7:00pm BST) with both matches taking place at the Racecourse Ground.

Jack Clarke and Jamie Shackleton have been called on by England’s Under-20s.  They have a home game against Holland on Thursday 5th September (7:00pm BST) at the New Meadow and an away match in Switzerland on Monday 9th September (6:00pm BST) at Stadion Rankhof.

Forward Ryan Edmondson has joined England’s Under-19s.  They have a home clash with Greece on Thursday 5th September (3:00pm BST) and an away match with Germany on Monday 9th September (4:00pm BST).

Nohan Kenneh has linked up with England’s Under-18s for their three home matches.  They take on Australia on Friday 6th September (7:00pm BST), Brazil on Sunday 8th September (5:00pm BST) and South Korea on Tuesday 10th September (7:00pm BST).
