Brenden Aaronson - USA 3-0 Morocco (Friendly)

New Leeds United signing, Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring for his international side, coolly slotting home inside the box in the 26th minute against Morocco at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The midfielder showed his quality throughout the game before being substituted in the 72nd minute, as his side ran out eventual 3-0 winners. The Stars and Stripes face Uruguay on Sunday evening in their next friendly, before their competitive CONCACAF Nations League matches begin next week.

Liam Cooper - Scotland 1-3 Ukraine (World Cup Qualifier)

Liam Cooper started for Scotland in this important World Cup qualifier and played 68 minutes of the tie, which ultimately ended in disappointment for his side. The dream of qualifying for Qatar is now over, after the home defeat against Ukraine, who will now go on to play Wales on Sunday in a decider to see who will progress to the tournament at the end of the year. Next up for Scotland is a home match with Armenia in the Nations League.

Diego Llorente - Spain 1-1 Portugal (Nations League)

Diego Llorente started for his country and played the full 90 minutes, as they secured a point at home against Portugal in the Nations League. The home side opened the scoring through Alvaro Morata, before the visitors hit back in the final 10 minutes. Next up for Spain and Llorente is an away match against Czech Republic on Sunday, as they continue their Nations League journey!

Kalvin Phillips - Hungary 1-0 England (Nations League)

A disappointing evening for England in Budapest saw them lose their opening Group A3 match away against Hungary. A second half penalty was the difference in the 1-0 defeat. Kalvin Phillips played the final 11 minutes of the match having been brought on off the bench, but he was unable to help his team get back on level terms. Next up for Gareth Southgate’s side is an away match against Germany, on Tuesday evening.

Mateusz Klich & Dan James - Poland 2-1 Wales (Nations League)

Two Leeds United players went head to head in this Nations League Group A4 clash. Both Mateusz Klich and Dan James started the match in Wroclaw, Poland, which saw the hosts win the game 2-1 in a close encounter. Klich played 60 minutes of the match, whilst James played the opening 45 minutes. Poland will face Belgium away from home on Wednesday, whilst Wales have their all important clash with Ukraine to look forward to on Sunday.
