Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier spoke exclusively to LUTV following Sunday’s victory over Sheffield United.
The Whites stopper produced a number of excellent saves at Bramall Lane and Patrick Bamford’s late goal secured the Whites a 1-0 Yorkshire derby win.
Meslier spoke about the match and was pleased the Whites were able to record back-to-back Premier League victories.
“We are happy as a team and I am happy,” said Meslier.
“It was an important win, it was not easy as every game at this level is hard.
“It was a game we had to play with our heads mentally and we were happy to score before the end and keep a first clean sheet of the season, so it is good for the future I hope.
“I’m happy because in the last game against Fulham I felt I could have saved the last two goals, but against Sheffield I saved two important chances and we arrived at half time at 0-0 which was important.
“It is just one game though, and we are focused on the next game now and then the one after that.
“For the spectators I think 4-3 games are better, but for the team and me it is better one-nil.
“We managed to do that on Sunday and win the game so it is all good.”
